Stuff with the Perl Foundation. A couple of patches in the Perl core. A few CPAN modules. That about sums it up.

Dubious achievement

[ #4706 ]

Mixed emotions: watching your mother-in-law drive off a cliff in your new car.

Another example: my CGI course, due to patient pimping by me, has become the number one rated resource, out of 4K+, at the CGI Resource Index, one of the MSA sites. Should I be proud or horrified? I suppose I would be less horrified if I fixed that miserable misidentification of a $salt in the last lesson. I can't complain, though. At least I have a chance of saving people from the Dark Side of Perl.

Other news: the former pool team captain lost the paperwork for next season's team and this time, being quite sober, I declined to be team captain. Definitely a smart move on my part.

Would it be unethical to put perl to a good use, writing a bot to vote good resources 10 and bad ones 1 thus helping to steer people away from the dark side, and proving how pointless voting really is? :)

On a side node, why do people downvote stuff on download.com [download.com] because they are mentally deficient:
