Test::Harness 3.0 blocker -- VMS

[ #34652 ]

Our VMS guy for Test::Harness 3 appears to have gone AWOL. Can anyone VMS-savvy explain how to at least run tests in VMS? We're kind of stuck here and we can't even think about TH3 without some confidence that we don't break VMS.

  • If I came across a bug in Test::Harness 3.0, would it be logged against Test::Harness, or TAP::Harness in rt.cpan.org?
    • Report it in the TH RT queue. Just make sure to mark the version it affects. Or you can report it here and I'll forward it to the list, though RT is the best bet.

      • That’s very helpful to know… except that “TH” expands to both Test::Harness and TAP::Harness. :-)

  • I met this guy at YAPC in Vienna. He's really nice, and I bet he knows VMS better than just about anyone else.

    Have you asked him for help?

    Bernd Ulmann is his name, contact info here:

    Since his e-mail addresses are published he might have either a spam problem or a particularly aggressive spam filter, so bear that in mind if e-mailing.

    Anyhow, assuming he's not your AWOL guy I'd give him a shout, he might be willing to help out.
