Surprising response
Last night I uploaded Data::Record to the CPAN. It's an alpha. There was no announcement or fanfare. It was just another module quietly making its way into the world.
I woke up this morning with three emails about it. There were POD fixes, ideas for improvements, and "thanks" for writing the module. I've never had such a quick response. I wrote the module because I have one tiny, tiny little problem to solve. I don't work with text like this often enough to really need this module outside of this problem. Others apparently do.
I pour myself a cup of strong coffee. :-)
