Stuff with the Perl Foundation. A couple of patches in the Perl core. A few CPAN modules. That about sums it up.
I just stumbled on that rant. Like many rants, it's a mixture of truths, half-truths, and idiocies. Mostly it's the latter. The author picks a confusing code example and generalizes the example to somehow include all of Perl. And he takes swipes at just about everyone in the Perl community (since when was I a fan of obfuscated code?)
The sheer level of vitriol is amazing. Something else happened here. I wonder what it was.

Nowadays I just smile and nod at numbnuts like that one. Who in their right mind is going to argue with him?
And he complains that he was downvoted at PerlMonks. All I have to say is duh.
