I gots me them ol' DSL blues

For three days now, between 6 and 7 in the evening, my DSL modem starts resetting itself constantly, effectively kicking me off the 'net. This lasts for several hours and by morning, it's fine. What the hell?

  • Any chance that your heater is kicking on during those hours and blowing hot air onto the modem? I had a heat problem with mine that got solved by moving it out from under my desk and setting it up on its side so that it could get better heat dissipation.
