Programmer View and Customer View

Regrettably, one of our data providers insists that there is some data they cannot provide, despite this data being freely available (and frequently wrong) on their Web site. Fortunately, the customer who requested a screen scraping program that pulls this data assured me that we simply use that data for reference and the actual data doesn't matter, even it's garbled.

As it turns out, he's perfectly correct -- from a business standpoint. We absolutely do not use this data and it has no bearing on the project at hand. Well, except for the fact that the module that imports the data consults the "irrelevant" data and does a lot of parsing to fill out other irrelevant fields, thus forcing me to ensure that the data, while irrelevant, is at least structured correctly.
