Thunderbird Mail

[ #18420 ]

Started using the Thunderbird email client. It's lightweight and fast; I appreciate that. What I don't appreciate is having a folder listed as having X number of new messages, but clicking on that folder and having all of them automatically marked as "read" and thus not being able to tell which ones are new. I can't figure out how to disable this "feature." Anyone know?

  • Weird.
I don't have this problem, but I'm using Thunderbird on Windows XP here at work.
I have never yet installed it on my Mandrake 9.0 Linux machine at home.

    What platform are you on?
    • I just tried it on debian(linux) and it doesn't seem to be a problem their either. Sounds like it's probably an issue with the mail server.
  • I use Thunderbird on Linux and WinXP and can't say I've ever come across that problem.
