The Gimp Triumph
I made a transparent gif today. There was an old task to upload a bunch of images on one of our sites, but one of them did not have a transparent background. I opened up Gimp and quickly realized that I did not remember know how to do it. I searched the Web and figured out how and now we have a nice transparent logo for one of our clients. It's silly that I should make a big deal of that but I'm not much of a graphics guy and this little triumph made me proud.

Gimp-foo indeed be daunting (Score:1)
So many options and menus and buttons and graphickey jargon that I'm quite tickeled at succeeding at even the most rudimentary accomplishments. I suppose it would help were I to have occasion to use it more than once every month or two.
/me chuckles. Not complaining, mind you - am just not a Gimp power user.
