Been a member here for a while, but don't visit that often, and only today discovered the journals. We shall see what good comes of this...

Currently, all my Perl work is database-related. And I have an unfortunate tendency to look for CPAN modules only if I don't have a pre-conceived notion of how it "ought" to be done.

I spend a lot more time driving than I would rather, because the only Perl/Unix work is about 50 miles from my home. Moving is out of the question for the next several years (kids in school, you may know the drill).

  • Blimey, 50 miles one way? I thought my daily commute was bad - 63 mile round trip. I won't complain about that anymore.
