More on OS X linking

[ #6891 ]

So it seems that I'm not the only one struggling with linking issues on OS X. I was trying to see if someone else had managed to install Perl/Tk on OS X, and found this.

So do we expect everyone to replace their copy of dyld? And with an unknown copy not PGP signed or MD5 signed on an unknown FTP server? Yeek.

    if Mac OS X 10.2 fixes this ... ?

Then again, Mac OS X 10.2 will use gcc3, so it might fix and break a lot of things. :-)
