Birmingham.pm

[ #3797 ]

Tonight is Birmingham.pm technical meeting. I'm going there to talk about AxKit. Partly I'd like to talk about POE, but that talk isn't ready yet - perhaps they'll give me a chance to go back and talk about that once I've written that talk.

Slides for this new AxKit talk (different to last year's TPC talk) are online, and I'll point to them later. I've used an awful lot of the new AxPoint features - which has been a very pleasant experience (and useful for finding bugs ;-). AxPoint is really nice and flexible now. The only thing I really find I would like to be able to do is link to applications and perhaps have animated images on slides. But PDF can't do the latter (I just need to add support for the former).
