Matts (email not shown publicly) I work for MessageLabs [messagelabs.com] in Toronto, ON, Canada. I write spam filters, MTA software, high performance network software, string matching algorithms, and other cool stuff mostly in Perl and C.
I unfortunately do not have time to work on this myself, but I do have a Sun Ultra-60 at home that I use for development. As this would greatly help my own project, I'm more than happy to give you an account on that.
I've been using DBD::SQLite on SPARC for the past several months. Admittedly, this is the Debian Testing package, so it's not the newest, and I didn't install it by hand, but it's definitely there and it's definitely working.
