OSCon Day 0.5

[ #20072 ]

My tutorial is over, and despite my eye problems it went well. I was disappointed to have to spend all of Sunday finishing my slides (I would have finished on Friday if I hadn't had the eye problem). So I missed the beer festival, and I'm quite bummed about that (but I'm over it - more important to give people a good tutorial).

I'm happy now to just have a 45m talk on a subject I know well, and the slides are all finished.

Met a few people I know. Some AxKit hackers, some p5p'ers, It's good to see old friends.

My eyes are still sore. I'm sat here in Damian's talk looking like a complete twat in sunglasses. Hopefully nobody will be offended. I guess it's too much time staring at a screen, and on that note I'll sign off.

PS: If anyone here wants to get in touch, since the network here is completely buggered you can call our room - it's rm512 in the RiverPlace Hotel (across the road by the river from the conference Hotel).
