Panther Beta

[ #15199 ]

A bug I posted to Apple got fixed!

I guess the NDA prevents me from discussing it, but it was a security bug, so I have an extra nice feeling that it was fixed.

  • Was it the one you mentioned in an earlier entry about how Mail.app handles executable files?
  • Now that Panther has been released, I dunno if the NDA matters. Regardless, two bugs of mine were fixed, and I got the resolution emails over the weekend (they surely must've had some process take all bugs with a certain "fixed in Panther" flag and did a mass update). Both were nearly a year old, one about missing Apple ports in /etc/services and one about passwords with '@' not working in eppc authentication (i.e., sending Apple events via TCP/IP).

They did not fix my iTunes bug report [perl.org] though. Bastards.
