Laptop redux

[ #1406 ]

My laptop arrived back from Sony today. Minus 128M of it's RAM.

I was worried when I saw that what they'd replaced (or what was broke) was the RAM chip (the original 64M chip). I'd put my own 128M extra chip in, and so I was worried that they'd have seen I had a non-Sony memory chip added. But the invoice said it was the 64M one that was replaced (ironically the non-Sony cheapo memory didn't break), so I calmly booted to check the memory status (I didn't want to take it apart just to check). Lo and behold, it had a lowly 64M of RAM again. Argh! So I called them and they're sending it back to me when they locate it. Frustrating.
