The last Parrot speaking tour for a while...

[ #8662 ]

Well, tomorrow's the start of yet another, and hopefully last for a while, Parrot speaking tour. I'm talking to the Seattle Perlmongers on Halloween, Microsoft on friday, RubyConf 2002 on Saturday, and OOPSLA on Monday.

  • Say what?

    • Yeah, to the folks at Microsoft Research. We've been talking on and off about Parrot, Perl 6, and .NET. The research folks are nice enough, certainly, and they are earnest. (And perl 6 needs to run on Windows regardless of anyone's feelings towards Microsoft) I'm up, so there's no reason to not put on a presentation for them.
  • Shiro's [citysearch.com] is easily the best fish I've ever tasted. And if you like dry, cold sake, they serve Otokoyama which is a favorite of mine. Since I first ate at Shiro's I've made a point of eating there every trip to Seattle since. And I evangelize :^)
