The last Parrot speaking tour for a while...

Well, tomorrow's the start of yet another, and hopefully last for a while, Parrot speaking tour. I'm talking to the Seattle Perlmongers on Halloween, Microsoft on friday, RubyConf 2002 on Saturday, and OOPSLA on Monday.

  Yeah, to the folks at Microsoft Research. We've been talking on and off about Parrot, Perl 6, and .NET. The research folks are nice enough, certainly, and they are earnest. (And perl 6 needs to run on Windows regardless of anyone's feelings towards Microsoft) I'm up, so there's no reason to not put on a presentation for them.

      When Microsoft makes a "donation" like that, it comes with many strings attached. Not necessarily the best source of funding to pursue...

Shiro's [citysearch.com] is easily the best fish I've ever tasted. And if you like dry, cold sake, they serve Otokoyama which is a favorite of mine. Since I first ate at Shiro's I've made a point of eating there every trip to Seattle since. And I evangelize :^)
