Blog continues

[ #35131 ]
As I mentioned here a couple of years ago, I now have a blog.

It sometimes touches on Perl.

This article discusses the concept of "undefined behavior" in Perl, drawing in examples from C, Haskell, and XML.

This article is about calculating the square root of a function when all you have is its Taylor series expansion. There's code in Perl and Haskell, and I compare the relative terseness of the two languages. Then I talk about syntax that Perl needs but doesn't have.

Happy birthday, Perl!

  • Oh, dear. Another mathematically inclined person has discovered an FP language. I suspect we'll be seeing less and less of you in the future.

    It is inevitable.

    • If you knew anything at all about me, you would know that I discovered FP languages long, long ago.
