5 of 20 Perl::Critic policies done
As I've mentioned before, I was awarded a Perl Foundation grant to write 20 new "Perl Best Practices"-inspired policies for Perl::Critic. As of tonight, I've completed 4 of those:
- BuiltinFunctions::ProhibitBooleanGrep
- BuiltinFunctions::ProhibitComplexMappings
- ValuesAndExpressions::ProhibitImplicitNewlines
- Variables::RequireLocalizedPunctuationVars
The fifth one, ValuesAndExpressions::RequireListParens, was already implemented by Elliot Shank in a more general form as ValuesAndExpressions::ProhibitCommaSeparatedStatements months ago and I didn't know it. So, I'm going to disclaim 5% of the grant award.
