I'm now a guest at Paris.pm meetings

[ #20513 ]

Since August 9th, I'm living in Lyon. Bigger flat, cheaper rent. I still work in Paris three days a week, but the TGV only takes two hours to cover the 600 km or so. And I live withing walking distance of the Lyon-Perrache train station.

I'm also within walking distance (though a little further) of the "Café Perl", which is the usual meeting place of the Lyon Perl Mongers. I have yet to attend my first meeting, which should be real soon now.

I'm not sure Lyon.pm gained a lot by exchanging Rafael with me, though. ;-)

No, they definately won the booby prize, as they get to help you organise next year's "les journées perl" in Lyon. In fact, as they're naïve, you can probably con them into doing all the work. (And don't go denying that you've given up organising workshops) :-)

Weeelll... My wife had a quite menacing tone when she said "I hope you don't plan to organise a conference in Lyon next year." ;-)

Anyway, there are talks about doing the next Journées Perl in Marseille. So I told her I'd be less involved in 2005. Which doesn't mean much, since most of the work does not require being there...
