Yet another zombie movie

In between all the unpacking and cleaning, I did squeeze in watching I am legend on pay per view. To me, it seems like yet another zombie movie, maybe with just another twist. I still like the Resident Evil trilogy more but it beats Dawn of the dead.

  • Setting aside the fact that Milla Jovovich may be the only actress besides Kate Beckinsale who can make such awful movies even remotely watchable (and I actually enjoyed Van Helsing), how can you not hate yourself for watching more than one Resident Evil movie? I saw the second first, then for some reason decided to torture myself by watching the first. In comparison, it was a lot better.

    Words fail me for describing the Romero remake though, except that some of the characterizations worked.

    • When I watch RE...a little of me died inside.

    • If you think that's bad, stay awaaaaay from Ultraviolet [imdb.com].

      The trailer would have you believe it's fantastically awesome. Unfortunately fantastically awesome a hundred times in sequence makes for a really sheit movie.

  • I also hated the "original" ending. The alternate ending is much better.

    • +1 for the alternate ending. Why oh why did they not choose that for the theatrical release?

      • It's the decade of bad decisions, didn't you get the memo? :)
