YAPC::Europe: the goodies

[ #34347 ]
How I remember Vienna.. by the goodies (more parts to come). In other words: the loot!
  • Some T-Shirts: 2 normal YAPC ones, 1 orga (bid at 50 euros), 1 black google t-shirt and 1 black ActiveState logos t-shirt (bid at 15 euros).
  • Pens.. pens.. pens and also, some pens!
  • Notepads (thanks Verisign!)
  • So what are you saying? I have a bad breath? Just because I have some Booking.com mints on me?
  • USB powered fan.. cool!
  • acme-color keyboard brush (also from Booking.com)
  • lanyards.. from Booking.com

Did I mention Booking.com sponsored the conference? I got some other goodies.. but all together, there were not as many goodies as last year.

  • Actually the keyboard brush was from Shopzilla. I passed on the USB fan, and got another USB memory stick :) There was also chocolates from United Chocolates and more mints from A1. All in all a good selection of freebies in my opinion :)

  • As Barbie said, the keyboard brushed where sponsored by Shopzilla. There were also some caps, but enough for everybody.

    The other pack of mints was from http://oe1.orf.at/ [oe1.orf.at], i.e. Ö1. Their website runs on Catalyst & DBIx::Class & Template::Toolkit & mod_perl. A1 (as Barbie called them) is a mobile phone operator and not at all releated to Ö1.

    The chocolates were "Mozartkugeln [wikipedia.org]", often slightly false translated as "Mozarts balls".

    • Oops! Just got out the Ö1 mints to check and indeed I got it wrong. Not quite sure why I mistook them for A1. Are the logos similar and perhaps I got confused due to subliminal marketing? Who knows, but they're nice :)
