I'm in the market for an Apple laptop. My budget isn't superhigh but high enough to get a MacBook 2.0ghz with 1GB of memory, the 120GB hard disk and the superdrive. I assume it'll be black but I'm an Apple newbie (ignoring the iPod nano and iPod shuffle 1st gen).

  • Good choice, you'll love it! If you're on a budget I can think of two options for your consideration.

Are you a student? If so, you may qualify for a once-per-lifetime 20% hardware discount. See: []

If not, you might want to consider an Apple Certified Refurbished Mac. There are some pretty incredible deals to be had here. Click the "Refurbished Mac" link at []
    • Here here. I was just looking at a 17" MBP Core2 for $2299...$500 with the same warranty + applecare is a damn good deal.
    • I can get it through work at a relativly good price as it is part of my yearly bonus :)
  • Good choice indeed. See if you can add 1gb of ram though, so it totals 2gb.. macs run a lot smoother with more ram :)
