Wireless Police

[ #28401 ]
Hey you, did you install an illegal wireless router in this office? We've detected an illegal router in one of the offices in this hallway and we think it might be in your office!

Besides those few funny seconds, work at work blowed chunks bigtime today!

I found out the hard way that, to create your own custom solaris package, you best just install it and then edit the prototype file by hand. If not, you'll probably end up with libraries looking for files in your dummy install directory instead of in the actual directory, just because you were assuming it was all DWIM.

  • So did you install such a router?

And was it actually against the LAW, or just against the RULES?
