Laptop issues
I finally figured out what was hanging my laptop. I added the
acpi=off apm=off
to my kernel line in the grub config. The wireless took some fiddling but nothing a
--force
can't fix. Now, I'm stuck fixing X so I can get it into a higher resolution than 1024x768.
In other news, the

feature in GAIM can be quite bad for your health.
I pour myself a cup of strong coffee. :-)
