a funny thing happened...
My alternator died on the way to visit my son today. My car now sits at a Ford dealership in Olympia, WA waiting for a new alternator to arrive.
I took the train back to Portland, and I'm leaving the country on Thursday. Poor car is likely to stay at my aunt's house (near Olympia) until I return in January.
The irony is, I usually take the train, and only drove today because I wanted to simplify things and make it back in time for David Wheeler's birthday party. Neither happened. %-)
