Strabwerry Perl 5.10.0.4-1 Portable Released

[ #38533 ]

http://strawberry-perl.googlecode.com/files/strawberry-perl-5.10.0.4-1-portable. zip

I'm happy to announce the first stable release of Strawberry Perl Portable.

This release is a based on a updated version of Strawberry Perl 5.10.0.4 (it will contain some slightly newer versions of the bundled modules, compared to the original January release).

This first-generation Portable distribution is only available in .zip format, you will need to unpack it yourself onto your flash drive, camera, iPod, mobile phone, or random other storage device.

My hope is that after this release, we can start to move towards becoming compatible with http://portableapps.com/.

  • I tried to upgrade Encode module through cpan.
    cpan can't find dmake command.

Is there any method to install XS module without manual environment variables( PATH etc.) ??

I hope cpan automatically invokes it.
