Mark Fowler has never been the same since he was elected leader of the London Perl Mongers. The strain manifests itself mainly in releasing various [cpan.org] modules [cpan.org] to CPAN, giving talks [2shortplanks.com], and use of the Trelane nick on #london.pm for endless procrastination. Doctors are still seeking a cure.

So, Jesse and Jody were in town and we thought we'd treat them to a nice sunny evening sitting outside by the river.

It didn't exactly go to plan

Also, just to kick us when we're down some utter b*$!ard stole Melin's bag from the sushi place we went to recover in. The utter f%&k. We didn't even see how the little s*!t could have got past us.

Apart from all that, not a bad evening. *sigh*

  • I would have joined you, but I now have other commitments on Wednesday nights: I'm learning to dance, supposedly.

All the same, I'm pleased to see some of London.pm braved the elements and upset to learn how you all suffered.

Strangely enough, on my journey home from London this evening, the clouds lifted just outside the M25. We've had a pleasant evening in Buckinghamshire: I'll stick with commuting for now.

I reserve the right to change my mind.
