All the Perl that's Practical to Extract and Report

use Perl Firehose

The Slashdot Firehose is a collaborative system designed to allow users to assist our editors in the story selection process. The hose contains submissions, RSS Feeds, journals and Slashdot stories, each color-coded along the color spectrum to indicate popularity. Red is hot, violet is not. Try tagging and voting on the entries below, and by using the 'feedback' menus. Please send comments to hose at cmdrtaco dot net but be forgiving of beta code!

barbie writes "Over the years there have been several suggestions to create a mailing list to discuss the developments of the CPAN Testing tools. When it was first created, the original CPAN Testers mailing list didn't get too much traffic and it was fairly easy to follow a discussion. However, with thousands of reports now being produced daily, any discussion gets lost in the deluge without heavy filtering in place, and even there are false positives. Following a recent request, the perl.org crew have kindly set us up with a new mailing list for anyone who is interested in the toolsets, process and any such related discussions.

Please welcome the all new CPAN Testers Discuss mailing list. Sign up by sending an empty mail to cpan-testers-discuss @ perl.org. Archives are available on the web, with more info available on the CPAN Testers Wiki.

Thanks to Robert and Ask for setting this up."

The Pittsburgh Perl Workshop 2007 is your golden opportunity to share your Perl ideas, code, and projects with eager hordes of like-minded codefolk. Last year's speakers had so much fun that we were forced to add an extra day of speaking slots to this year's PPW. Shouldn't one of those slots be yours? Shouldn't you experience the full glory of the PPW fun-fest that only speakers can know?
