I'm also head of Vienna.pm [pm.org], maintainer of the CPANTS [perl.org] project, member of the TPF Grants Commitee [perl.org] and the YAPC Europe Foundation [yapceurope.org].
I've got stuff on CPAN [cpan.org], held various talks [domm.plix.at] and organised YAPC::Europe 2007 in Vienna [yapceurope.org].
Yesterday there was the pre conf meeting. We anticipated 50 people coming, but there were at least 100 (if not 150). So the service was a bit slow, but I think everybody got beer & meat. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gXSXBiXVb4 for video.
Today started very stressy, because we had to set up the registration desk, while people started queueing. Plus, I had to finish slides for my (crappy) opening speech.
After the inital onslaught, things got easier for us, but I still did not manage to see a single talk. A spend a few seconds in each, for video coverage, though. I met a lot of old friends and had some nice chats.
I'm very tired already, but there's a pub crawl scheduled for tonight. Well, that's what YAPCs are about, massiv multiplayer sleep deprivation / alcohol abuse experiments
Currently, there are 333 people registered. Wow!
